Grace be with you...

While I was finishing up my studies this morning in Ephesians, I came across a section right before Paul's final greetings that has never really stood out to me in this light before... I decided to share. The scripture is Ephesians 6:19- 20.

"19
And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike. 20 I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should." (NLT)

Ok, so we all know that Paul is awesome, that's a given. What I would like to point out is, not only is he saying that he wants prayer for the strength and ability to continue spreading this "mystery", but he refers to the chains that he is in without asking for prayer of release. In this same situation I feel that I could justify asking God to get me out of prison in order to tell the masses about Christ... Paul does not do this. How many times do we seek God to get us out of the position that we are in, rather than to do good where we are at.

Again, another example of Paul's heart for his Lord, and through that, the people around him.
